This June feels like August!

We enjoyed an afternoon off yesterday, following another busy work morning at Finca Bonviva. Achim planted some herbs and tomato plants, then worked on irrigation, while I pulled weeds and cleaned the solar panels. Cleaning 36 big solar panels was more work than I expected; with temperatures up to 33 degrees already (are we sure it's still June?), I was happy to have a job that involved water. That said, the cold water from the hose I was using was heated to jacuzzi temperature in the few seconds it took to run down the panels and onto me feet! We are producing some serious electricity with this installation!! :) They're now all in great shape and ready to keep the batteries charged and a full house running optimally - just in time for air conditioning season.
We were super happy then in the afternoon to take a drive up to Son Serra de Marina and enjoy the still-quite-empty beach and beautiful turquoise water. As a couple of people who aren't very good at sitting still, we ended up walking along the water's edge to Moomba beach bar for a very pleasant drink the shade of a tropical umbrella, then walking back and ending at El Sol for dinner and a bottle of rosé while overlooking the beach. El Sol is a touristy little restaurant, but still one of our favorite places to go, boasting a great location and atmosphere and enjoyable food.
