A heart full of hope and a soul full of gratitude

The past year has been tough on everyone, as we've struggled with isolation, illness, massive changes to lifestyle, uncertainty and a great big case of FOMO - all those things we're missing out on due to the pandemic! It's also been a year of learning, appreciating all we have, slowing down and re-creating.
We've done a lot of those things at Finca Bonviva. Many new trees were planted and we're now up to something like 43 fruit trees, 19 palm trees, 27 olive trees (but Achim is bound to correct me as soon as I publish - it's hard to keep up!). The first fruits of the season are ready for harvesting tomorrow, and the little vegetable garden should bring lots of fresh tomatoes and such to our plates soon! We also invested in planting 1500 grape vines, so in a few years will have our own Finca Bonviva wine available, which is probably Jaimi's very favorite addition. :)
In addition to loads of planting, we've done made some property improvements which include the new stone facade around the pool, the solar heating panels for the pool water (hurray for early and late-season swimming!), new linens and artwork for the SouthWing apartment, replacement of storm-destroyed sun umbrellas, and many hours of beautification work outside. We're ready for the season and to enjoy this beautiful island!

And we are so thankful for all the sacrifices made over the past year in Mallorca - many people are suffering due to the very tight restrictions. But it's paid off. With an ongoing Covid19 incident rate that is below 30, it's hard to find a safer please to be these days. Restaurants and bars are opening back up and our first 30 degree (86 F) day is forecasted for this weekend. We plan to spend it enjoying lunch on the beach! #lifeisgood
If you're interested in visiting, send us a message. The Studio is fully booked but we're extending low-season prices for the SouthWing into the high season this year to help people get back to the island. We'll be happy to coach you through the current requirements to travel and the remaining restrictions in place in Mallorca. In the meantime, have a great weekend, stay healthy and safe!
