Life is picking up again in Mallorca

What a joy it was to sit in the central sqaure of Felanitx on Sunday evening with a glass of wine, and watch seemingly half the village embracing life and the freedom from lockdown. Kids riding push-bikes and playing hide-and-seek, families sitting in groups around park benches and in the numerous cafés, friends chatting it up while basking in the evening sun. Sure, things are not the same as before the corona-crisis hit, but this new normal is starting to look pretty good.
The difference was already palpable during the trip here last week; quite distinct from two weeks early, airports were busy, the flight was not full but full-ish, no one seemed bothered anymore by wearing masks, and the new QR code system arriving in Spain worked perfectly.
On that note, here is the link to fill out your health form in advance; you will then receive a QR code to save on your phone or print on paper - then it's a quick scan at the airport, random temperature testing, and you're done! Nothing left but collect luggage and head out under the palm trees to enjoy island life. https://www.spth.gob.es/
And oh, are we enjoying island life! Work at the Finca as always, but also glorious sunny afternoons of 31 degrees at the pool, trips to the beach, an evening climbing trip and an amazing day hike. More on that separately, and as I get things written up, they'll be added to our Finca Information booklets, ready for perusal by our guests. We hope you'll be one of them soon!

Have a great day, wherever you are!
