50 km of Beaches

One of the reasons to spend time and vacation in Mallorca is the incredible number of breath-taking beaches. Naturally, on an island you have plenty of beaches. Mallorca has more than 260 km of beaches of all sorts and kind. The ABC Mallorca magazine is in general a good source of information. One of my favorite beaches is actually not far from our Finca. It is Cala Varques. It is a short 5 km drive towards Porto Cristo, park your vehicle at the 'Fig Parking Place' and hike for 2km down to the beach. There are pretty much no facilities. So bring your own drinks and food.

On the other side of the island there is Cala Deià. Very small and picturesque beach. No sand (it is a rock/pebble beach), but you have two restaurants. The one on the left has great food. Make sure you have a reservation. And, parking at the beach is very limited and you might end up walking a bit.
